Making the rounds

The Olympic torch will begin its journey throughout the free areas of Cyprus today after it arrives at the Paphos port at 10.30am. From there it will be taken to the Paphos Castle by Andreas Stylianou then it will continue through the main streets in the town.

At 12.30pm the flame will be given to Titina Loizidou at Petro tou Romiou and will then go to the Curium Stadium in the hands of pianist Martino Tyrimos.

The flame will arrive in Limassol at 2.30pm near the Castle and will be taken down the beach road by Marios Tokas.

At 5.30pm the torch will pass by the Laiki Bank building on the Limassol Road and will pass by all the main roads when it will finally arrive at Nicosia’s D’Avila moat where a concert will take place with singer Marios Tokas.

Tomorrow at 11.30 the torch will be taken to Paralimni by poet Klairi Angelidou and will arrive at its final destination in Larnaca at 1.00pm. People will be able to see the Olympic torch on the Finikoudes strip. It will finally end up at the Larnaca airport where it will depart for Crete.

All those interested in seeing the flame that has travelled the world will be able to do so for free.
