If you don’t like it here…

Sir,

As l sit here on Tuesday morning having listened to the news, I am now reading my Cyprus Mail and feeling rather angry at some of the articles. When I reached page 15 (I’m dreaming of a green Christmas), I felt I needed to write this letter.

I came to live in Cyprus from the UK because I like the way of life. I have settled here and I adhere to the rules and regulation of this country.

I consider myself lucky to have a choice, and that people who have a choice to live in a foreign land should respect the culture and not try to change it – integration is the key word here.

It is not a right to move and want to change what is there, if you move and you don’t like it or it was not the right choice, go back and think again. The UK is always up for people wanting to change things.

Now for the watering of golf courses! With global warming all around us I’m sure that there just may be in our lifetime just enough aqua to suffice.
