Fire in Paralimni hospital basement prompts brief evacuation of some wards

Some wards at the Paralimini hospital were evacuated on Sunday after a fire in the basement caused black smoke to enter the ventilation system. No one was hurt.
The fire services said they received a call at 5pm that a fire had broke out in the hospital basement. Three fire engines responded and the fire was brought under control.
They found the source of the blaze was an electrical distribution panel.
