Tornado wrecks three cars

A TORNADO caused extensive damages to three cars that parked at the District Offices of DISY in Golgon Street in Larnaca yesterday.

The incident occurred at around 1.15pm. The tornado lifted up a corrugated iron shack and its metal frame from a nearby plot and threw it onto the three parked cars, causing extensive damage. The cars belonged to Theodosis Tsiolas, Popi Christofi and Michalis Athanasiou.

Police arrived at the scene and began investigations to determine under what circumstances the shed was placed there. According to evidence, the shed was not properly secured to the ground.
