Polemidia campaign against graffiti

KATO Polemidia Council has launched a campaign against the illegal spraying of slogans and offensive symbols on walls.

“We need to give more education and culture to our youth. We also need new aesthetic approaches to public areas. We all have a role to play in this effort. Let’s change things!

Let’s demand better quality of life!” said Mayor of Kato Polemidia Giorgos Georgiou.

The campaign will kick off today between 9am and 11am with an event at Polemidia Lyceum. The event has been jointly organised by the local government, student councils, as well as parents and teachers. Participants will take part in cleaning illegally-sprayed slogans off walls.

“I would like to call organised groups to attend this event in order to send out a message,” Georgiou added.
