A NICOSIA court yesterday heard how two elderly neighbours came to blows with broomsticks over the mess being created by a fig tree.

THE COMMISSION of Inquiry into the causes of the Helios air crash suspended its hearings yesterday ahead of the publication of the final report on the causes of the crash.

The announcement was made by Commission chair Panayiotis Kallis, noting that the first round of witnesses who were invited to testify was completed.

Land registry official confirms alleged Church fraud

A LAND registry official was called to testify yesterday in the trial concerning allegations of embezzlement that took place under the nose of the ailing former Archbishop of Cyprus.
