Cyprus among most expensive tourists packages

CYPRUS has the most expensive tourist packages from the UK from all its competitors in the region except Egypt, a survey in Britain reveals.
According to data from AC Nielsen, the average cost of a one-week package to Egypt costs £608 sterling, with Cyprus coming in second at £598 as of June this year.

After Cyprus came Portugal, but it comes in around £100 cheaper than Cyprus and Egypt at £508.

From Britain, a one-week package to Turkey costs only £429 and Greece £444.

Forecasting to 2007, the data reveals that by summer 2007, Cyprus will have overtaken Egypt as the most expensive package, estimated to reach £715 with Egypt at £685.

Malta will be in third place with an average package price of £523 but Spain is expected to be cheaper at £481, Portugal £483 and Greece £492.
