Anastassiades to US

DISY leader Nicos Anastassiades will travel to Washington on July 18 to take part in the International Democratic Unions (IDU), which will also be attended by US President George Bush. DISY spokesman Tassos Mitsopoulos said Anastassiades was going to the US at the invitation of the Republican Party and would be attending a lunch hosted by Bush.

“There is not going to be a t?te-?-t?te but the Cyprus issue will be raised within the framework of the conference,” said Mitsopoulos.
