Casino options being evaluated

COMMUNICATIONS Minister Efthymios Flourentzos said yesterday that the suggestion to create a casino at Larnaca’s old terminal was an attractive one but that further consideration and deliberation was needed to explore all possibilities.

“From the moment that the decision to create a casino in Cyprus was taken, we are evaluating all possibilities, but we share Hermes Airports’ view that the old Larnaca terminal scenario has several merits” said Flourentzos.

The minister clarified that a decision was still far from imminent, since a study exploring the government’s options was still underway.

Flourentzos said that once decisions were taken and the study was complete, the relevant procedure would push forward.
