Warning issued over four foods with dodgy expiry dates

HEALTH officials are advising the public not to buy or consume four food products until their correct expiry date is determined.

The four foodstuffs are: Bisto Powder 454g, Lion Creamed Horse Radish sauce 165g, Callisto stuffed vine leaves 2kg, and Lyle’s Black Treacle gravy powder 454g.

Health inspectors suspect the products’ expiry dates may have been tampered with. The products, discovered in the warehouse of a distributor, were labelled ‘Exp Date’, and not ‘BBE’ (Best Before End) as they should have been.

Some of the above foodstuffs have already found their way to store shelves, and officials are urging anyone who may have already bought any of them to avoid consuming until further notice.
