A great example of a great time

Mondays may not be a party day, but in August every day is a party day when you are at the beach. And when you have a couple of world-famous music masters entertaining you, it is the musical cherry on the top.

For all you in Ayia Napa on Monday, Makronissos Beach Club will be hosting a performance by Example and DJ Wire. This is the fifth time the pair will be returning to the beach club, so they will make us feel right at home.

Example (who is Elliot John Gleave) started MC-ing in a garage to make some money while at university, and by 2006 he had sealed his first proper release with a record deal. Ever since then the man who makes magic with the mic has set a great example for generations to come with his award-winning performances.

But his big success came in 2011, when he was nominated by 4Music Video Honours for best video for his track ‘Changed the Way you Kiss Me’ and ‘Stay Awake’, as well as being nominated as best male artist, best independent artist or group, and best boy by BT Digital Music Awards.

DJ Wire started his career in London playing on a pirate radio station and later on joined the now legal station Rinse FM. He shifted to dubstep beats and later on to drum and bass. Throughout his career he has worked with well-known artists from around the world including Liquid and Ellie Goulding.

So have a relaxing weekend, because Monday’s act requires your energy levels to be high.
