Part of Stasinou to close

THE northern part of Stasinou avenue in downtown Nicosia will be closed to traffic on Thursday morning, so that a vehicle carrying a large drill can be safely removed, the Nicosia municipality announced on Wednesday.

A 50-metre section of the roads’s two lanes heading away from Nicosia will be closed at 5am for about one and a half hours.

Consequently, the municipality added, drivers heading into Stasinou from Omirou avenue will be diverted to Evagorou avenue.

The impacted area will feature guiding posts and traffic signs, so that inconvenience to pedestrians and drivers is kept to a minimum.
