Holiday robberies

A PAPHOS resident told police that burglars broke into his house and stole €100,000 in cash, reportedly held in a safe in his bedroom.

The 48-year-old Ukrainian told police the money was taken at some point between last week on Sunday and Friday.

Meanwhile, a company has reported that between August 15 and August 31, burglars stole tools, machinery and twelve parked cars from a fenced-off property belonging to the company and situated in the suburbs of Nicosia. The items are worth €113,400, police said.
