Musical party in the park

Instead of us going inside to listen to an orchestra, the orchestra will come outside to give all present at Acropolis park in Nicosia on Saturday a chance to hear a range of musical pieces under the stars.

Barely a week after May’s full moon, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra will stage an open-air concert featuring a variety of music for every taste and age, including a musical tale for children, tangos, popular classical and jazz songs.

The orchestra will also be joined by actor Petros Georgadjis who will narrate the story of Babar, the Little Elephant, soloists Miodrag Djordjevic, Nenad Ljubenovic, Charis Ioannou, Marios Toumbas, Greg Makamian, and Ioannis Vafeas.

Orchestra and soloists will be led by conductor Yiannis Hadjiloizou.
