School girl in intensive care fainted after giving blood

A 17-year-old schoolgirl from Athienou is in intensive care at Nicosia General Hospital with a brain haemorrhage after fainting following a blood drive, falling on the ground and hitting her head outside her school in Larnaca on Tuesday.

According to reports, the girl fainted and fell down after the end of the day’s classes. The 17-year-old had reportedly donated blood at an event organised at the school.

She was first transferred to the Larnaca General Hospital where she was diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage, and was transferred to Nicosia due to the severity of her condition.
