Cyprus and Russia sign agreement on combating organised crime

Cyprus and Russia signed on Tuesday an agreement of cooperation for combating organised crime.

The agreement was signed during a working visit to Moscow by the foreign ministry’s permanent secretary Alexandros Zenon. On the part of Russia, the agreement was signed by deputy minister of foreign affairs Alexei Meshkov.

During the bilateral political consultations the officials exchanged views on international and regional issues, focusing on the situation in Syria, Ukraine and combating terrorism in the Middle East. They also discussed the current state of affairs in EU-Russia relations.
