AEL win again, Aris and Paphos FC fire blanks

Two games for the bottom group took place earlier today with AEL defeating Doxa by 2-1 and Aris and Paphos FC sharing the points in a goalless draw.

Doxa’s Leandro opened the score on the half hour mark in a first half which the home side dominated and missed a number of chances to double their lead.

They were made to pay for this however as AEL stormed back in the second half and snatched victory with two late goals from Mezga and Piech.

In the other game between Aris and Paphos FC both sides missed chances to break the deadlock with a draw being a fair result.
