THE met office weather forecast for the weekend could foil excursion plans as Green Monday is expected to be a rainy day.

According to the met office, on Saturday, the weather is expected to be warm with temperatures at around 24 degrees Celsius inland, 27C in the coastal areas and 14C in the mountainous areas.

On Sunday afternoon, patterns are expected to change, as dust is expected, followed by rain later in the day.

Monday is expected to be rainy throughout the island, the met office said, until early Tuesday.

A slight temperature drop is expected on Monday, but it is expected to rise again by Wednesday, the met office said.
