Court remand for drugs in the post

THE Paphos District Court issued a three-day remand order on Friday against a 24-year-old man in connection with the illegal importation of drugs.

A parcel containing 32 grams of cannabis addressed to the 24-year-old sent from abroad was intercepted by customs at the Paphos post office on Thursday.

When the suspect picked up the parcel, police followed him to his home and searched the residence. Apart from the parcel, they found three cannabis plants and seized two computers as evidence.

The young man has been charged with conspiracy to commit felony, illegal importation, possession and use of drugs and illegal possession of drugs with intent to supply to other persons.
