Falling in love with classical music

Although our island does see its fair share of classical music concerts, they still tend to be viewed as music for an elite. Is there a way for us to leave our prejudice behind and approach classical music differently? To find out, join in the fifth open discussion of the Autour d’un cafe on Wednesday in Paphos.

Musician Chrysostomos Neofytou, the coordinator of the discussion, explore whether classical music is – or can be – accessible today.

The discussion will also focus on what inspires someone to attend a classical music concert today and what kind of presentation does it take to encourage positive reaction in a listener.

Technpolis 20 cultural centre welcomes both classical music lovers to attend the event, as well as those who have never attended a classical music concert before and who may believe it has nothing to offer them.
