Man injured in shooting near supermarket

A YOUNG man was injured on Friday night when he was shot twice in a supermarket parking lot in Anthoupoli, a Nicosia suburb, police said.

According to the police report, the incident took place at 7.20pm.

Police sources believe that the victim was part of a drug exchange gone bad.

The young man was shot at four times, receiving two wounds in the arm. He was rushed to Nicosia General hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Police is looking for an individual named by the victim.
