AEK go goal crazy in Cyprus Cup

AEK thrashed second division side N&S Erimis 8-1 away from home yesterday in the second leg of their Cyprus Cup tie.

The team from Larnaca, who lead the Cyprus Championship by six points, wrapped up a remarkable 13-1 aggregate win to progress to the Last 16 of the competition.

Elsewhere, Aris also went through to the next round after a 3-1 away win over Olympiakos sealed a comfortable 4-1 aggregate victory.

In Wednesday’s first leg encounters, APOEL beat Nea Salamina 1-0 away, with the only goal of the game scored by Nuno Morais in the 61st minute, while AEL beat struggling Ayia Napa 1-0 in Limassol
