Fire at Arsos under control

 

A FIRE close to Arsos village in the Limassol district was brought under control at around 8pm on Tuesday after burning dry grass, wild vegetation and trees.

According to the fire department’s spokeswoman Lisa Kemidji, the fire broke out at around 3.30pm. No one was hurt.

A few houses in the area of the fire were in danger but firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it was able to cause damage.

Nine fire trucks, two cars from the forestry department, two from the gaming department, two state helicopters and two from the forest department were at the scene.
