Way to go egging on the Archbishop

It is obvious by Andreas C Chrysafis comments in last Sundays Mail that he is not an historian for he would have known that history is full of eminent religious figure calling people to rise up.  In nearly every case it has ended up in bloodshed and carnage.

Even without the involvement of spiritual leaders civil unrest has solved very little. One is reminded of Greece’s recent public disturbances that did nothing but create further financial burden.  Even today this island is surrounded by countries that are in the throes of civil conflict which is costing the lives of thousands. Andreas and the Archbishop should take more care in what they say.  Nonetheless, I’m aware of the present feeling Andreas may have but blaming everyone does not solve the situation.   If Andreas was the head of a family and got into debt through bad budgeting and had to borrow money from a grumpy uncle and this uncle placed strict conditions on the repayment – who do you blame? No brainer really – isn’t it?
