Man, 42, dies on Paphos hunting trip

A hunter died from what was believed to be a heart attack during an outing with a friend on Sunday in Kathikas in Paphos.

Christoudoulos Tamboura, 42, went hunting with a friend aged 35 in the morning and had complained of a severe chest pain as they reached their destination. He shook it off however and continued with the outing.

Some time later a passing motorist spotted Tamboura lying on the Kathikas-Akoursos road, almost at the same time as his friend re-appeared after they had become separated and the older man was not answering his phone.

Tamboura was taken by ambulance to Paphos general hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The exact cause of death will be determined by a post mortem but the indications were that he died from natural causes.
