Offensive remarks to not contribute to reunification

The misinformed remarks by Mr Xenophontos about Turkish Cypriots (‘Same old tune from most Turkish Cypriots’, letters to the editor, Sunday Mail, September 19) are not helpful in the present period where both communities are beginning to mix again.

The Cyprus Mail should be more responsible if it wants reunification. It should remove letters that cause offence to each community thus inciting ethnic hatred and misunderstanding.

Observers describe it as politically conservative.
