Shame on you Olympic Airlines

Sir,

We flew with Olympic Airlines from South Africa via Nairobi and Greece to Cyprus in April

In Nairobi, I was confronted with a drunk passenger, who swore at me and eventually took over the seat I was sitting in. I complained to the stewards, who took him back to his seat. But just before take-off, I was asked to move over and hold my two-year-old child for take-off. As I moved across the aisle to hold my child, this drunk guy jumped over two seats and back into my seat. I put the baby down and went back to the stewards, asking them to let me off the plane as I was not willing to risk travelling with a drunk passenger and his abuse. They said it was not possible and they would control the matter once we had taken off.

But when we took off nothing was done: we had the guy throw headphones at the little one. I reacted and called the stewards, telling them the situation was getting out of hand. I was told I should not create a problem as the gentlemen that has been abusing us for the last eight hours was drunk.and they would arrest me on arrival in Greece.

I have written letters to Olympic, thinking something would be done about it, I called their marketing manager in Greece, and their response was basically that nothing could be done, just live with it. Their attitude is disgusting, especially from a nation that has such pride in family and life. How could they let this be done, not only to me and my wife but a two-year-old child.

Shame on you Olympic Airlines.
