I cry for you, my Cyprus

Sir,
I refer to an article published on April 27, in which a Greek Cypriot lady told us how much she was emotionally affected by President Papadopoulos’ TV showpiece that she decided to vote ‘no’.

To be absolutely sure she was not making a mistake, she consulted a priest. (No, not the Bishop of Kyrenia, but her local) who also advised her to vote ‘no’. This was despite the fact that all the rest of her own family, who presumably were able to make up their own minds, were voting ‘yes’. She says that she now regrets her action.

Words fail me, I am speechless. All I can do is to cry for the dear lady and cry for all us Cypriots.
