Cocktail of the week with Fabrizio Musorella

Harvey Wallbanger

How come some cocktails have funny names? Here’s one story for you. In the marvelous 1960s at Pancho’s Bar in Manhattan Beach California, a surfer named Harvey was wiped out in a surf championship. From his disappointment he then drank too much Vodka with Galliano and as a sign of disapproval banged his head against a wall until he was stopped. My suggestion? Do not order or prepare this Long Drink if you just lost a game. It’s just a game. Salute
Ingredients
5cl vodka
15cl freshly squeezed orange juice
2cl Galliano liqueur
Preparation
Pour the vodka and orange juice into a highball filled with ice. Stir. Pour the Galliano gently over the back of a spoon, so that it will float. Add a slice of orange and two straws.
