Illegal delivery

A 34-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested in the north for supplying her husband with 15 grams of marijuana and 38 tablets only supplied on prescription while visiting him in Nicosia State Prison on Saturday. The marijuana, hidden in a transparent nylon bag, was discovered when the package she had brought to her husband was searched by officials at the prison.

Street attack

ORCUN Yanik received injuries on his face and his body in an attack while walking home in the early hours of Sunday evening, near Nicosia’s Ataturk stadium. Turkish Cypriot Police are continuing investigations.

Fire devastation

A BLAZE between the Chatoz and Marathovouno main road destroyed 10 olive trees, four donums of broad-bean fields, 14 fig trees, a date tree and damaged 23 olive trees and three plum trees on Saturday. Turkish Cypriot Police say the cause of the fire is unknown.
