Two arrested for prostitution in Limassol

TWO FOREIGNERS, a 43-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested on Sunday night for making profits from prostitution. Limassol police were acting on a tip-off that led them to a hotel that was suspected of doubling as a brothel.

At 4pm on Sunday a young person was seen entering the hotel and approached the 43-year-old. He gave him money and the suspect then gave the man a key.

The young man was then seen to escort the 23-year-old woman upstairs to a room in the hotel. Police then entered the room with a search warrant and found the man and the woman in bed together.

When questioned, the young man admitted to paying £45 to have sexual intercourse with the woman who works at a nightclub in Limassol.

The Limassol CID is investigating the incident.
