My battle with government bureaucracy

I operate a worldwide Internet Multichannel Marketing company, currently in property.www.searchfindcyprus.com that I recently set up with my business partner Constantinos Patinios.

For over a year, I have been battling with the authorities to obtain my Real Estate licence. Why the need for a license anyway operating a Internet Multichannel Marketing Company? What is the problem in obtaining a Real estate licence anyway, you may ask.

First, I am a professional and as I am currently marketing property in both sales and rentals. I would like to proceed in this line of business within a professional manner.
I have been battling for a over a year now.

The government makes it difficult for someone to possess a licence because they say you must take an oral and written examination in Greek or Turkish. There would be no problem with the oral part of the examination. The problem would be on the written part of the examination.

The government have refused to translate the written examination paper. On the one hand they want to stop non-licensed Real Estate Agents from trading and on the other hand, they do not want to help individuals like myself. They are holding me back from trading freely.

For a government that fought hard to show that this country is European, it’s got a strange way of showing it.

The government must abide by the European Constitution and allow free trade and services.

I know there are more you with the same grievance as me or different issues and would like to take a stand with me.
