Bomb hoax grounds CY plan

A CYPRUS Airways flight from Larnaca airport was grounded yesterday after a bomb hoax.
Larnaca police received an anonymous telephone call at around 6pm saying there was a bomb on board the 6.55pm flight to Birmingham. After searching the plane and surrounding area, the police and civil aviation gave the all-clear, three hours after the telephone call. The flight didn’t take off however, as the crew would have exceeded their working hours limits. All passengers were taken to a local hotel, with the flight due to leave today.
