Briton stabbed in Napa brawl

A BRITISH man who was stabbed in a mass brawl in Ayia Napa has told police that he will sort the matter out once he gets back to London.

According to police, the 21-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach during a brawl involving two groups of men in Ayia Napa square.
The fight took place at around 5.30am yesterday morning.

Witnesses told police that chairs, broken bottles and even knives were seen during the fight, which resulted in the 21-year-old being sent to a private clinic.
Doctors have said the victim sustained injuries to his liver and pancreas.
Famagusta Deputy Police Chief, Costas Panayiotou, said yesterday the victim was refusing to co-operate with the police, simply saying that he would resolve any differences once he got back to London.

Panayiotou added that two people were wanted in connection with the attack, noting that police had tightened patrols in Ayia Napa.
It is not the first time that the police have dealt with a victim refusing to name his attacker.

In 2004, two other British men were injured in a fight and again refused to name their attackers to the investigators.
