Shooters and slammers are great fun and in recent years, bars have realised the potential of these drinks to bring customers in. The rituals associated with shooters and slammers can sometimes be strange. The most famous, of course, being a lick of salt, followed by a gulp of straight Tequila and a quick suck on a wedge of lime. Shooters have great names like; Fallen Angel, Kamikaze, Angel’s Tip and Rattlesnake among modern concoctions. You can be as creative as you like once you follow the subtle rules of flavours.
