Nothing less than they deserve

Having just finished reading your article, entitled ‘Brits call for property action in the north’ (Sunday Mail, May 20), I was stunned!

Can these people be serious?

Here’s an idea! Let’s all go and buy property in territory that is under dispute, from a government that is non-existent, and live on land that was taken from refugees! Sounds like a bargain! If you were stupid enough to fall for it then you deserve to lose all your belongings. Beautiful villages are being occupied in the north by people who have no idea what they are getting themselves into. When my family returned to their village for a visit someone, had the nerve to come and tell us, in a perfect English accent, that the owners of the abandoned, demolished house that we were standing in were not home with the nastiest attitude I have ever seen. We told her that the owners had just arrived.

When you people bought this property did you even think for a second where it was that you were planning to live? Did you consider that you may be stooged? Did you understand the fact that you were buying something that was not for sale or was not owned by the person who was to sell it to you? What would you think of a person who turned up at your house while you were on holiday and said ‘this is mine now’?

For being so inconsiderate and stupid you got what you deserved, now get out.
