Cheap hotel rates for bank holiday weekend

RATES as low as five pounds per person are being offered by the Cyprus Hotel Association (PASYXE) over the bank holiday Green Monday weekend.

Choices are available from a directory featuring 88 hotels and apartment complexes nationwide and are for two persons sharing a studio.

Zacharias Ioannides, Director-general of the Association, explained that the aim was to encourage domestic tourism.

“We want to stimulate the interests of Cypriots in getting their hands on the directory in order to make their selection according to their requirements.”

The directory is available free of charge at Cyprus Tourist Organisation information offices, as well as Bank of Cyprus branches nationwide. Interested parties can book directly with the hotel in question.

A further directory featuring special offers for the upcoming summer season is due to be released in April.

The Association thanked the Bank of Cyprus and American Express for their collaboration in the offer.

A spokeswoman for the Forest Park Hotel in Troodos said the hotel was fully booked over the bank holiday weekend. “People have made reservations in order to enjoy some skiing and the snow, which is more than we had at this time last year.” She added the hotel was featured in the PASYXE directory, with prices starting at £34 for a single room and £48 for a double.

The Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol said the hotel was fully booked for Saturday, with only £288 suites available for Sunday.
