The children of today

Sir,

We read every day about the problems with the children of today. However, we would like to take this opportunity to publicise how generous the majority are and especially thank the Junior School of the American Academy in Larnaca for their hard work in raising money for thirty two young girls of the Sirahada Balika Nivesa Orphanage in Sri Lanka. This is the third year running the children, with the help of their parents and teachers have organised various functions e.g.
‘Sleep-Overs’ & Car Boot sales and raised enough money to provide sorely needed kitchen equipment, school materials and the day to day necessities for the Orphans.
Once again a big thank you to the children of the Junior School – American Academy – Larnaca.
