CY juggles flights to avoid Greek strike

CYPRUS Airways announced yesterday that due to a three-hour air-traffic controllers’ strike in Greece today, which will take place between 11.30am and 2.30pm, four CY flights will be affected, to and from Athens, to Thessaloniki and from Thessaloniki to Paris.

New arrangements have been made so that passengers on the affected flights can travel to their destinations earlier.

Specifically, the CY312 Larnaca-Athens flight scheduled for 9.30am will depart an hour and a half earlier at 8am. CY313 Athens-Larnaca scheduled for 12.15pm departure will also leave an hour and a half earlier at 10.45am.

Larnaca-Thessaloniki flight CY418 scheduled for 8.55am departure will take off instead an hour earlier at 7.55am and the Thessaloniki-Paris flight will depart at 10.45am. The schedule for return flights remains unchanged.

The CY offices and customer service centre, as well as the travel agents, are communicating with the approximately 850 passengers who will be affected by these changes, and informing them of the new departure times.
