Paphos-Larnaca shuttle bus was not worth the expense

Sir,
When my brother said he was coming over to see us, I suggested that he try the new airport shuttle bus that we had heard about and save my husband the long journey to collect him from Paphos to Larnaca.

When he arrived at Paphos airport he asked a taxi driver how much it would cost to take him to the shuttle bus stop and was quite shocked when told the fare would be €40.
That and the €15 for the shuttle bus fare that brought him to Larnaca airport ended up not being the cheaper option that we had hoped it would be. Luckily we were able to collect him from the airport in Larnaca but if we hadn’t, it would have been more expense for another taxi fare on top.

My brother would have probably found it cheaper to hire a car for the day or use the Service Taxi.

Will someone please tell me what on earth is the point of having an airport shuttle bus that doesn’t even leave from Paphos airport? The bus should have a pick-up point designated within the grounds of the airport then more people would be encouraged to use this service.
Surely the shuttle bus service and taxi drivers can work out a solution to this problem together?

The shuttle bus service runs very successfully to and from Larnaca airport so why not from Paphos airport? It’s high time the government granted a licence for the shuttle bus to leave from Paphos airport!
I would be interested to hear if any other readers have encountered the same problem.
