Shameful narrow mindedness

Last week I visited Carrefour in Paphos. The store was in full festive display in honour of the Euro football championships, and I was pleased to see the flags of all the competing nations strung across the shop.

But wait – was I right? – were all the competing nations represented? I checked again carefully but no Turkey!

Come on, really! Is Cyprus so stuck in the memories of years past that they cannot recognise when another nation has achieved a certain distinction?
