Stop open sale of knives and knuckle-dusters

Sir,

As regular visitors to Cyprus, my husband and I have never found it necessary to comment or complain about services or facilities here in Paphos until this week when we visited the Market House in Paphos town. There to our surprise were at least two stalls selling knives, knuckle-dusters and other such quite illegal items that could be bought by both local children and tourists. In the UK, there is great concern that many such implements have caused serious damage to both lives and limbs and it appears also to be a problem giving concern here too. Surely the local police, who are very evident in this area of the town, should take steps to ensure that these and similar items are not longer freely available for purchase.
