Toothpaste warning

COLGATE Herbal White toothpaste has been withdrawn from the market after being deemed harmful to health by RAPEX (the European Rapid Alert System for Non-food products).

The specific product – Colgate Herbal White 50 ml, Lot 3198GB10333, bar code: 999 89 65485127 – poses a microbiological risk as it contains mesophilic aerobic microorganisms and total enterobacteriaceae, making the toothpaste harmful for consumers’ health.

According to RAPEX, it is unclear exactly which countries the product was exported to and so the Pharmaceutical Services are calling on the public to beware and contact them on the numbers 22-407106 and 22-407176 if the product is spotted on sale.
