Davutoglu wants to visit Cyprus with Tsipras

Turkey’s Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu wants to visit Cyprus with his Greek counterpart, Alexis Tsipras, government spokesman Nicos Christodoulides said on Wednesday.

Davutoglu proposed the suggestion to Greece, but  Tsipras responded: “Let’s first solve the Cyprus problem and then we can visit Cyprus”, according to the spokesman.

The Greek government notified Cyprus on  Wednesday afternoon about the exchange.

Christodoulides called on Turkey to give up its statements and communication tactics and instead take concrete actions to prove it is sincere in its public statements about wanting to solve the Cyprus problem.
