Brazilian player a victim of ‘flat-tyre’ robber

THIEVES yesterday robbed a top-flight Brazilian player of €25,000 by distracting him with a punctured tyre.

Champions Omonia Nicosia player Claudiano Bezerra Da Silva, known as Kaka had just withdrawn the money from the bank.

When he went back to his car he noticed his tyre was deflated and when he tried to change it the thieves grabbed the bag with money and fled.

The bag also contained the player’s travel documents.

Kaka called a fellow player and went to the police were he reported the theft.

The robbery took place at a bank branch near the police HQ, reports said.
