Jogger mugged in Limassol

A 34-YEAR-OLD man from Greece, a permanent resident of Limassol, was attacked by three armed masked robbers while jogging along the seafront Amathounda walkway in Limassol.
The incident took place at 8.30pm on Saturday when the man, who jogs regularly in the area, was confronted by the three armed men who asked him to give them all the money he had on him. The 34-year-old explained to the three men that he does not carry a wallet with him when he jogs.
The men then grabbed him and took his mobile phone – worth €250 – from his pocket and fled. The man reported the case to police who went to the scene, where they found a black scarf believed to have been used by one of the robbers to mask their face.
Based on the 34-year-old’s description police are looking for three young Greek Cypriots.
