Time to clean up the island

The topic which mainly crops up in conversation is the huge problem of litter along the sides of the roads here.

On my recent flight back to the UK, the two ladies I sat next to commented on the rubbish they saw and were extremely disappointed – they mentioned the Akamas area. 

We really need to address this problem – perhaps we need a campaign i.e. ‘Stop The Drop’ or if not ‘Keep Cyprus Tidy’ – ‘Get Cyprus Tidy’…

Perhaps one day each month, people can take a bag and collect litter around their area. The main areas I have seen are the road from Tala to Trimithousa and Tala to  Kissonerga – I am sure there are a lot more!
