Army should be a reflection of open-minded society

How ridiculous and wrong of Mr Sampson to insist that patriotism is measured by the voracity of an attack on the Turks.

I expect the Cypriot National Guard to be a reflection of the society it represents. That means an intelligent open minded society driven by fairness and justice, and inclusive of its Turkish Cypriot citizens. That way I hope that the Cypriot National Guard will be accepted as the Army of the Turkish Cypriot also. Mr Sampson has more in common, it seems, with those well known flag waving nationalist warmongerers – the Turkish Army.
