A footloose Saturday

The Nostalgia Soundtrack was originally planned for the start of this month but, as luck would have it, music was not the only thing that wanted to blow into Nicosia. Dust also wanted to have its say, and say it did that the event would be cancelled.

But now, with all that behind us and the horizon once again clear, the event is back on our calendar and on Saturday we can all enjoy a night of soundtrack music.

From Jungle Book to James Bond, Footloose to Forrest Gump, Pixar to Pulp Fiction, Blues Brothers to Big Lebowski, Singin’ in the Rain to Star Wars, it will all be played at The Powerhouse by DJs Claudio and Mr Fox.

The duo will take us through some of the best-known tunes from movies from the past 60 years – so if you are a bit old school don’t worry, you can also get down to some old-time classics.

The event won’t just get us remembering some of the most memorable scenes from movies, it is also for a good cause as half of the proceeds will be going toward the ongoing treatment of an 18-year-old Cypriot cancer patient.
