Special thanks to Ian and the Paphians who helped me

I would like to let you know of an act of kindness that happened to me last Saturday afternoon, while on holiday in Kato Paphos.

I fell in the street and badly gashed my wrist, requiring several stitches. Although several locals came to my assistance, a man passing in his car saw me fall and heard glass breaking.
He immediately stopped and seeing my injury, wrapped his shirt around it to stem the flow, and drove me and my wife to the Blue Cross Medical Centre in Paphos, where I received excellent treatment from Dr Antonios Economides and all the staff.

I wasn’t able to properly thank my Good Samaritan as I was due to fly home the following day, which I was able to do. I only know he was called Ian, that he has lived in Yeroskippou for around four years and that he sometimes had a drink in the ‘Old Fishing Shack’.

Without his prompt assistance, I could have been in a much more serious position.

I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone, but particularly Ian.
